FAQ's and MORE
Need Help? We’ve Got You Covered!
Absolutely! At Treats by Allyson, I believe that allergy-friendly desserts shouldn’t mean sacrificing flavor or texture. My baked goods are carefully crafted to be just as delicious—if not better—than traditional options.
Nobody can tell the difference—seriously! Time and time again, my customers are shocked to learn my treats are allergy-friendly because they taste just as rich, fluffy, and indulgent as traditional baked goods. In fact, many of my customers don’t even have food allergies—they just love the taste! Whether they’ve had my treats at an event or ordered for a friend with dietary needs, they keep coming back simply because they’re that good.
All of my treats are free of dairy, eggs, peanuts, and tree nuts—and trust me, you won’t miss a thing! Don’t just take my word for it—trust my customers! One bite, and you’ll taste just how rich, fluffy, and irresistible they are. After that, you’ll never want to go anywhere else!
At Treats by Allyson, every order is crafted with care and attention to your unique needs.
While I specialize in allergy-friendly baking, all items are prepared in my personal home kitchen, which is not an allergen-free facility.
Our family understands the challenges that come with food allergies, and we do our best to accommodate them using allergy-friendly ingredients and strict cleaning practices. All baking tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned in the dishwasher between baking sessions. However, because we use the same kitchen and equipment to prepare all products, orders fall under the classifications of "may contain" and "made on shared equipment."
We take cross-contact seriously, but we cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergens.
This food is made in a home kitchen and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department.
If you have questions or specific concerns about ingredients or how we manage cross-contact, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Your peace of mind is important to me!
At Treats by Allyson, I pride myself on offering fully customizable treats, from ingredients to design. Whether you order online or via email/phone/social media messaging, we’ll have plenty of time to discuss your vision and ensure we’re on the same page. You can absolutely send pictures for inspiration, but please keep in mind that those images serve as a starting point. The final product may not be an exact match—but that’s what makes it uniquely yours! After all, perfection is in the details, and we can always make adjustments along the way, even outside of the order form. I’m here to collaborate with you every step of the way to create something truly special!
Please Note: Submitting the order form does not confirm your order. Orders are only booked once they have been reviewed, accepted, and payment has been received.
Treats by Allyson requires at least 7 days’ notice for all orders. Requests with less than 7 days’ notice may be accepted on a case-by-case basis and will incur a rush fee, determined by the size and complexity of the order.
For items purchased at events, payments are accepted via PayPal, Venmo, credit card, or cash.
Have questions about storing your cake? Whether it needs refrigeration? Or if you can pick it up the day before?
Absolutely! You can pick up your cake the day before—or even earlier, depending on your needs. I’m happy to provide storage recommendations in advance to ensure your cake stays fresh and delicious.
For your convenience, every order includes a Cake Care Card with detailed instructions on how to maintain peak flavor and texture. If you have any specific concerns, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to help!
Please note: Once you pick up your order, you assume full responsibility for its transport and storage, including protecting it from weather conditions such as heat or cold. If you’re unsure about the best way to store or transport your cake, don’t hesitate to ask—I’m happy to offer guidance! But, some notes are below!
Transporting Your Cake
Always carry your cake from the bottom. Lifting from the sides can cause damage or lead to dropping.
Clear your car of loose objects. Items that roll or shift during the drive can hit the cake and ruin it.
Place the cake on the floor or trunk of your vehicle. This is the most stable surface. Do not place it on a seat, as the incline may cause the cake to lean or fall.
Never leave your cake unattended in the car. Someone might be tempted to sneak a bite!🤤
Avoid leaving your cake in a warm or turned-off vehicle. It will eventually melt. Go straight to your destination—errands can wait!
Storing Your Cake - Refrigerate your cake until an hour or two before serving. Most people enjoy cake slightly chilled—and you'll get cleaner, crisper slices with fewer crumbs!
Outdoor Events - Keep the cake shaded and cool. If inside storage isn’t available, do your best to protect it from direct sunlight and heat.
Enjoy every bite, and again, thank you for letting me be a part of your celebration!
Tall / Tiered Cake Info & Cutting Tips
If you have a tall or tiered cake, which includes internal supports (dowels and boards). Please read before slicing!
No face smashing! These cakes contain hidden supports and are not safe for that kind of fun.
Before cutting: Remove any decorations in the way.
Top tier first: Cut directly into the top tier or use a knife to lift and remove it. (Hint, removing the top tier to slice is the easiest way!)
Look for the center dowel once the top is removed—this can be taken out or left in place while you cut.
As you cut the bottom tier, watch for small support dowels and a central board.
